The GAACC Foundation embodies a mission to raise, manage, and distribute funds to create and amplify opportunities for growth and resiliency in AAPI young professionals, entrepreneurs, small businesses and communities in Central Texas.
The Foundation is aligned with the Greater Austin Asian Chamber’s focus on business, and drives or supports initiatives with a special focus on promoting Asian art, cuisine, and culture as important facilitators of community and commerce. Our initiatives include programming to bolster small businesses and programs that provide or enhance educational opportunities for youth and young professionals.
GAACCF is qualified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to GAACCF are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law
Friends,
I have exciting news – The GAACC Foundation is officially official!
Anyone who has navigated the creation of a new nonprofit organization understands how arduous the process can be. It can often take years before applications for 501(c)(3) status are processed and approved by the IRS, the state, and other governing bodies. Without those certifications and stamps of approval, an organization cannot do business.
I am very pleased to report that the GAACC Foundation has received approval from the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization, and we’ve done it fast! This means not only that donations and other contributions made to the Foundation are tax-deductible, but that the Foundation itself – and the programs it will conduct in support of our local AAPI communities – are officially official!
Our deepest appreciation goes out to Laura Fowler of The Laura Fowler Law Firm, P.C. and to Kim Pham of EZTAX+ for their assistance in getting this organization established. We could not have done it without you.

What comes next? That’s where you come in.
The GAACC Foundation needs support from our talented and dynamic communities to thrive. That support can come in the form of tax-deductible donations or volunteering to serve on the Foundation Board of Directors. Or it can come through being involved in the Foundation’s first major fundraising event: Asian Eats ATX.
On September 7th, the Austin area’s best Asian chefs, restaurants, and food trucks will host hundreds of friends and foodies for an incredible Asian-inspired dining experience – all to support the Austin Asian Community Health Initiative (AACHI) and the GAACC Foundation. After the dinners across our city, everyone gets together for an epic afterparty!
Get on board with Asian Eats ATX now as a sponsor or table host and get ready to bid on a table starting in early May. We anticipate this event will make a huge splash in Austin and we expect the contribution to AACHI to be substantial.
If you have questions or wish to support the GAACC Foundation or Asian Eats ATX, please reach out: [email protected]. We are excited to launch this new, robust addition to the local AAPI community ecosystem.
Sincerely,
Mark Duval
