Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce Launches Historic “Access Asia” Trade Mission to Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, Texas –  The Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce (GAACC) is proud to announce the official launch of the Access Asia program with an historic three-week trade delegation departing next week. Designed to build seamless economic ties between robust global markets, the mission will bring senior government officials from the City of Austin and surrounding regional municipalities, alongside prominent Central Texas business leaders, directly into three of Asia’s most dynamic economic ecosystems: Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore.

Running from May 31 through June 19, 2026, the Access Asia summer 2026 program provides the network, insights, and infrastructure required to galvanize international business, cross-border investments, and talent exchange between Central Texas and the Asia-Pacific region.

“The Access Asia delegation represents an unprecedented bridge between the booming Central Texas economy and Asia’s most vital markets,” said Mark Duval, President & CEO of GAACC. “By bringing together Austin’s senior civic leadership and top business minds, we are doing more than just visiting these nations. Citizens and enterprises are solidifying long-term, high-value economic corridors. This mission is poised to deliver transformative opportunities back home to Greater Austin.”

The delegation will move through three curated legs:

Access Taiwan (May 31 – June 5, 2026): Positioned as a global epicenter of the semiconductor and AI revolution, Taiwan is a critical partner for Central Texas. The delegation’s visit is strategically timed to coincide with COMPUTEX, the world’s premier technology showcase. Leaders will connect with industry titans, national trade agencies, venture capital firms, and Taipei City leadership to further develop the Austin-Taiwan innovation corridor.
Partners include: City of Austin, National ACE, Plug and Play, adanvis, and ecosTek.

Access Vietnam (June 6 – June 13, 2026): Driven by the rapidly expanding Vietnamese population in Greater Austin, one of the region’s fastest-growing Asian communities, this visit reflects a commitment to building upon existing civic and cultural ties while fostering deep international business collaboration and mutual economic development.
Partners include: City of Austin and 100B.

Access Singapore (June 14 – June 19, 2026): Serving as “The Gateway to Asia,” this leg directly builds upon a landmark 2025 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and the recent opening of the Enterprise Singapore office in Austin. The visit will focus on action-driven solutions, unlocking partnerships across critical sectors from tech startups to advanced manufacturing.
Partners include: City of Austin, Enterprise Singapore, and Centauri Capital Group.

National organizations have also signaled the immense strategic value of this trade mission for the broader U.S. economic landscape.

“National ACE is proud to support efforts that strengthen the economic, innovation, and people-to-people ties between Central Texas and Taiwan,” said Chiling Tong, President & CEO of the National Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce & Entrepreneurship (National ACE). “As global supply chains and emerging technologies become increasingly interconnected, partnerships between regions like Central Texas and Taiwan are more important than ever. Through collaboration and international engagement, we are creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and innovators to lead in critical sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing. Our goal is to help businesses build the strategic partnerships and global connections needed to compete, innovate, and strengthen long-term economic resilience between the United States and Asia.”

GAACC extends its deepest appreciation to all corporate sponsors, municipal partners, and community stakeholders whose generous support has made this historic initiative possible.
