Austin Asian Chamber staff recently had the pleasure of conducting our staff luncheon at one of Austin’s newest hotels and restaurants: the Canopy by Hilton Austin Downtown and its onsite Verbena restaurant. Staff and a few of our board members enjoyed a tour of the West 6th Street hotel which features over 120 rooms, beautiful and modern decor, and a uniquely Austin spin.

Staff enjoyed lunch at Verbena, the hotel’s restaurant featuring a breathtaking courtyard for seating on sunny days. The tastefully decorated interior seating area is highlighted by an open kitchen, exemplifying the transparency of the brand and the sourcing of the food prepared.
We were introduced to the Executive Chef, Paolo Gama, whose cuisine is true to his Mexican roots while expressing a contemporary flair that includes French culinary techniques.
Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, we expect both the Canopy by Hilton Austin Downtown and Verbena to become beacons in our Austin community for accommodation and dining.
